My teaching career began in high school where I served as music director for the cabaret concerts I also directed and produced. I expanded my work as a teaching artist when I worked as a Teaching Assistant for the 2018 Boston University Summer Theatre Institute, and then directed a high school production of The Cradle Will Rock at Concord Academy in Spring 2022. I have been teaching private piano and music theory lessons, and audition prep coaching since 2019. My teaching style is centered around empowering the student’s agency and unique ways of understanding music before building and expanding on the fundamentals of music theory and technique, because I believe in dismantling barriers surrounding music, and that anyone can be a musician.
